Its been a while since I had a walk around Rawcliffe Lake. Signs of early autumn were everywhere. The trees here have a definite golden glow at the moment in the morning sunshine.
The lake is artificial and provides drainage for a housing estate built on an old war time airfield. It has been nice to see the trees mature over the past 25 years to give us lots of autumn colour.
@zenna Thank you. I hope they do develop deeper colours although some reports have cast doubt on tones other than yellow. Something to do with the weather over the summer. Katharine
Nice fall shot. We're starting to color up in Colorado. The high mountains have their golden aspen trees, and here in the flat-land the color is beginning.
