As the weather gets colder and the nights draw in my mind turns to soup! I was shopping earlier today and found a more interesting selection of squashes ( right to left: onion, butternut and harlequin) to put with the more usual soup ingredients. I found the colours and shapes appealing. They all taste good and make super smooth soup. I've been told they make a good curry too and will be trying that later in the week.
Definitely a great autumn picture. soups, especially the homemade kind are so good for you. we stock up on them and have them ready anytime just unthaw and heat them up.
