Clematis Tangutica

When I was walking back from the lake a distant wall near the road glimmered and shone in the sunlight. When I got closer I found that the shimmer was due to the effects of autumn an the clematis flower-heads. Earlier in the year I had enjoyed seeing the bright yellow flowers and it looks just as spectacular now (- well maybe not today after all the rain we are having ).
