Concorde

There are very few places in Paris from which you can actually see the Eiffel Tower. Despite it being so big! Place de la Concorde is one of the few good spots. The obelisk is one of a pair given to France by Egypt in the 19th C. The other one never made it to France as it was too big and difficult to move. In the 1990s, the French president gave it back to Egypt! The hieroglyphs exalt the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II. - Lucy

I love the symmetry and that despite the Eiffel Tower being so recognizable I have never seen it with the obelisk.
