While Lucy was in the Graduate Fair at York University yesterday, I went exploring the countryside to the south of the campus.
There is a popular and attractive route south through an area called the Outgang, then a short but noisy section where the path turns west and runs parallel with a major dual carriageway road, before turning north along a surfaced driveway beside Fulford golf course back towards the university campus.
This last part of the walk is lined by trees - some parts with poplars and other parts with silver birch. Here the view is back along the drive with sunlight shining through a row of silver birch trees.
It was a cool day but the sunlight and lovely countryside made it an ideal day for a walk.
Thank you Graham - This is a beautiful walk at any time of year with several lines of trees at various points which make good shots.
