Sun on St Mary's by fishers

Sun on St Mary's

Mum posted a very similar picture over a year ago on 28th November 2013 ( http://365project.org/fishers/365/2013-11-28 ). I snapped this on my way home from work the other day and liked how the sun fell on the ruins.

As mum said on her pic, the building of the Abbey began in 1088 and only saw its demise with Henry VIII's dissolution of the monasteries.

Some of the ruins just out of shot were where I used to climb and jump off when I was little! - Lucy
Such lovely composition and as you say, the lighting hitting the ruins looks great. So nicely seen and captured.
