The Old Year Fades

The sun sinks below the horizon as we look past the corner of the house of one of our neighbours. A silver birch tree can be seen in silhouette against the remaining light in the sky.

This shot was taken a couple of days ago to get the effect I was looking for. A shot taken this afternoon (on New Year's Eve) would have been a much more grey result.

So thank you all for your help and support through 2014, and for sharing so many lovely images for us to enjoy. We hope that 2015 brings each and every one of you peace and happiness!
