As well as being busy with family visiting on Easter Sunday, I also really struggled to find an Easter themed shot that I wanted to post, until I found this on a walk that I did today (Wednesday).
Passing through the heart of the village of Bishopthorpe, south of York, I took shots of some of the interesting old buildings in the village. As I turned north back towards York, I passed the village church, a large Victorian building. The sign outside telling me the church was open was all the invitation I needed, so off to see the interior - this is the first time I've been able to get into this church..
Several dozen shots of the building, the stained glass and church furniture, and then I came across this. Not really sure why, but I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it. I hope you like it too!
Thank you all for your lovely comments - I was really pleased to find this nice piece of artwork.
