On my way to the railway station I came across these vintage buses which were being used to carry people to a wedding. This seems to be quite a popular thing to do. We are due to go to a wedding soon and the transport between the church and the reception venue is by vintage bus.
The leading bus here is an AEC Regent V with MCW bodywork in St Helens livery. A search on Flickr shows it is often used for weddings across northern England.

It was nice to see these vehicles, and they did look very well looked after, although the engines were rather rough and there were clouds of fumes as they pulled away.
