Not the hustle and bustle of the daytime market, but the end of the day when many of the stalls were closing and most of the shoppers had gone home, leaving just me and my camera to wander in peace.
The stalls on the left are the western extremity of the Shambles Market. The Christmas tree is placed roughly where the fountain used to be, in the centre of Parliament Street, and the wooden stalls to the right are part of the Christmas Market.
How nice. I was there the first weekend it opened and couldn’t get near a stall! It was lovely to go back later at night to the emptiness. You have captured it so well.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.
I like a wander around the city centre after dark, when the hustle and bustle of the day is replaced by a rather more restful scene.
