This shot is from our daughter Louise. She said it was to remind me of all the muddy walks that I took her and her sister on when they were children.
I have a reputation with my family for being able to find a muddy walk even in the midst of a drought, and I must admit that we have been on walks where the mud has been a bit of a challenge, although we never had to abandon a walk due to the mud. We did consider that I might publish a book of welly walks. (Might have needed more than one volume).
But what I want to know is why Louise is taking her children on a walk like this if muddy walks were someting she wasn't very happy about?
Ha ha like father like daughter! Youâve conditioned her from an early age to seek it out without her realising! What a gloriously squelchy capture, I love it, fav.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated
Well, what a surprise. I didn't realise there were so many mud lovers out there! It is particularly difficult this time of year to find walks where mud is not involved somewhere. There are a few walks on cycle tracks with hard surfaces where it is possible to avoid the mud, but to have a variety of routes to walk makes meeting up with mud almost inevitable.
Love those and even drive trough it. Fav.

You are right Vesna, family walks, even with mud like this, are great fun!
