Silver Birch by fishers

Silver Birch

Another shot from the Homestead Park last week. It was such a beautiful afternoon and the low light ideal for photos that I keep being drawn back to the photos I took that day. Here we have a group of silver birch trees with the silvery bark highlighted.

It's lovely the way it springs up out of the orangey-red bushes below, whose name always escapes me but I love to see them in Winter!

Beautiful colours. When the sun is out is the time to get the camera out. There is always something interesting to capture.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and favs, they are very much appreciated.

I don't know what the correct name is for the red-orange shrubs around the silver birch trees is. We have always called them 'red hot pokers'.

Thank you for that - it is so frustrating that there are so many plants that I don't know the names of, but that is one I have learned today!
