First of all I'm sorry we have been absent for the last couple of days, but yesterday was the funeral of Katharine's dad, and we travelled to Sheffield on Sunday and stayed over.
Today's shot is a close-up of part of the floral display at the funeral. The service was a full 1 1/2 hour Ukrainian Catholic service, and was a very moving occasion. As you can see, the floral tribute was in Ukrainian colours. Katharine's dad was a proud Ukrainian, but he was just as proud of his English citizenship as well - a man of two cultures.
Condolences to you all especially to Katherine. It is so sad to lose a person who you loved and who loved you even more. But such is life. This is such a lovely bouquet of flowers with a meaning.
Thank you all for your lovely comments and fav, they are very much appreciated. Katharine also sends her thanks.
I was impressed with what a good job the florist did with the floral display. As I'm sure some of you realise the predominant colours are the yellow and blue of the Ukrainian flag.
