Christmas Hangover by fishers

Christmas Hangover

One of the things that usually runs over from Christmas into the new year is whatever jigsaw we started. Not this year. Katharine has worked very diligently on this 1000 piece jigsaw of Paris and had it finished by 30th December.

I showed a copy of this photo to our family which led to a discussion with Lucy about it's accuracy (Lucy worked in Paris for a year in 2013-2014). It does seem that there was a lot of artistic license taken in the creation of the picture, staring with the river being far too narrow. However it does show quite a number of Paris landmarks in an attractive way.

I hope that you all had a nice New Year celebration. Ours was rather quieter than planned since our family get together was cancelled due to ill health.

Beautiful scene for a jigsaw puzzle. Needs a bit lot of patience to finish, something I don't have. I have been to Paris and immediately realised that the picture is quite different from the way you see the actual scene.

Thank you all for your lovely comments and fav, they are very much appreciated.

The illness started with Lucy's daughter who had chicken pox and was quite ill with it, then I started with a cold, then Louise's husband spent a day working with a colleague who tested positive for Covid-19 the following day, so that was a risk for those of us who have so far avoided it. Fortunately we are all now well again. Hopefully we will all be able to meet at some point later in the year.
