The serious photographer (with short lens)

We've been away by the lake for a few days and this is my friend determined to get the shot he wanted wandering in the lake with his camera. We had to come home early due to fires near our home, so hope to return some time soon
Sam
Hope everything is ok Robyn........the fires are horrendous!

Thanks Sam, they are extremely bad but we are just outside the edge of the current warning zone. We have left the car and trailer packed ready to go if necessary.

@pcoulson @leananiemand @elisasaeter @quietpurplehaze @kwind @tonygig @nicoleterheide @dibzgreasley @terryliv @thistle @snaphappi @thresheg @landryta85 @kerrynz @hermann @gilbertwood @karlow75 @kt8ird @888rachel Thanks for your comments and your concerns re the fires. They have not come any closer to us but a still a real danger to many in the Adelaide Hills. The perimeter of the fire is about 180km with many spot fires still burning around the perimeter. Our Country Fire Service are amazing and have been fighting the fires for over 2 days now

I've been thinking about you and the fires Robyn, sounds like the Adelaide Hills got a real pasting. Aren't those firies wonderful? I don't know how they do it. Good to hear NSW and Vic sent some relief crews so your folks could get some sleep.

That must be such a worry but the firefighters sound amazing. Such a contrast to this lovely cool, serene image. Beautiful pinks in the sky.

@golftragic Yes Marnie the firies are amazing and we appreciate the extra help from the east with such a huge area of fire.
