Don't know what it is, but I do know the details are fantastic and you should be able to Google it really easily. I love those big green eyes. I think it looks a bit like a bee, looks like a stinger on his hinney!!! Anyway, the photo is fantastic and a huge FAV from me. Hope you get the ID on it!!

Great capture ...( I have spent all morning trying to get a good shot of a cicada) this may belong to the hoverfly family of which there are many thousands of varieties. They are harmless (although many of them mimic wasps with striped bodies) and beneficial to the garden as polinators or eaters of aphids.
