The Ishtar Gate by foxes37

The Ishtar Gate

This stunning gate was built in the 6th century BC in Babylon for King Nebuchadnezzar. It was reconstructed for display in the Pergamon Museum Berlin. It is absolutely breathtaking. However, a good friend who visited the real Pergamon was disappointed that all the “best bits” are now in this museum. A touchy subject!
A very touchy subject I imagine. It does look spectacular.
