Joe spends his youth hunting. He rises early and shoots rabbits before school. A collection of older folk eat better than they might have done without this dietary supplement. At the conclusion of high school, one of his sisters gives him this picture inscribed “To my brother, the hunter.” He continues to hunt and is mostly deaf in one ear as a consequence. Should a viewing be held for him, he wishes to be dressed out in the oldest camouflage he owns.
photography note: it took a LONG time to get a picture taken more or less head-on that didn't have reflections from the window, This has the on-camera flash bounced backwards with a giant envelope (I've learned that if you do this, closing one's eyes is an excellent plan). The stripes in the picture come from different surfaces that the flash hit. I decided not to go back and redo them, but I'm thinking that it's probably a good idea for a bounced flash to hit a uniform surface!
Loving this series of images of your home life and the wonderful commentary that accompanies it.
The description of shooting this one made me laugh, I had a similar experience with bouncing flash back only a few days ago. It takes a long time for the dazzle to leave your eyes!
