There are 86 wind turbines that were placed on Wolfe Island at Kingston, Ontario. They are being blamed for causing health issues with the island residents by producing:
noise you can hear
noise you can't hear: infrasound
daytime shadow flicker and nighttime red light emissions
electrical pollution from underground wiring.
I don't know what the answer is to the problems people say are caused by these. I've seen tons of them in the UK--don't know if the points you mention have been issues over there.
