Wow- I can't believe how much that looks like a place I used to go with my friend in high school. Her folks had a cottage up in the Thousand Islands and this is so similar to view we had of their neighbor's home- it's uncanny! It's such a beautiful area!
@frantackaberry Oh, Frances, I wish I could remember! We flew into Watertown (I think) NY and then somehow crossed into Canada. I know we had to go by boat to their home but goodness- it's been over 40 years! One thing I remember about their island was that it was crescent shaped and a bit larger because there were several houses on it. The one the Haskins owned was on one side of a little cove and looked across at the other home which was set up on a hillside like this with a dock on the water below. Across from their island was a large privately owned island supposedly owned by someone connected to the mafia! The home had a Mediterranean style architecture and they owned an amphibious car. It looked so strange to see that thing "driving" through the water at night with its two headlights! I wish I could tell you more- but that's all I can remember!
