Bonfire Building.

Preparations in place for the bonfire on Eastbourne beach tomorrow evening. Building it is a work of art and, amidst the seeming chaos, lots of planning and expertise seems to be being put into it.

looks very sculptural. I wonder why the big bonfire in October? Isnt it a month early?

Yes, it’s early because round here each town has a major bonfire and procession so they do it on different weekends from each other. I’ve never come across it before but it’s the tradition round these parts.

That is going to be one huge bonfire, looking forward to see the flames ;-)

I know some crafters that would cry to see all those pallets being burned! But it does have a sculptural quality to it! Hope someone with a big magnets makes a thorough pass afterwards to pick up all the nails!
