Wellington Bomber Crash Memorial. by gamelee

Wellington Bomber Crash Memorial.

On 16th November 1943, a Wellington Bomber on a training flight crashed into Hurst Hill above Anglezarke Reservoir killing all on board. The aircraft based at Wymeswold in Leicestershire was taking part in an exercise when it got into difficulty in the early hours of the morning.
Nice point of view - looks remote. Interesting the amount of snow on the different fields.

Great processing Lee. The red on the poppies really er... pop. You've captured a really moody sky. Lovely.

Beautiful shot, nicely processed - and a sobering reminder of the cost of war.
