Horwich Loco Offices. by gamelee

Horwich Loco Offices.

Horwich Works was a railway works built in 1886 by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway (LYR) in Horwich, near Bolton.
I took a photo back in January of one of the locomotive shop floors. http://365project.org/gamelee/365/2013-01-11 - If you have the time check out this guys photos of the place, they're really good. http://www.talkurbex.com/locations/dead-industrial-horwich-loco-works-industrial-exploration/
Very atmospheric in b and w. is it a bit of cloud top left- it looks like it could be industrial steam or something! Like the vignette too- gives this a vintage feel.

I agree. I like the nostalgic feel with this utilitarian brickwork.

Great shot - very atmospheric, down to the grass growing out through the bricks of the building. I like your previous shot of the shop floor too. Had a quick glance at that website link too - some seriously impressive and wonderfully edited photos there!

Lots of history here. Great composition showing the repetition of the peaks and valleys on the roof and the symmetry of the windows. Impressive shot of the interior too!

Another very atmospheric b&w, you've really caught the deserted feel of this building.
Love your album, huge, hairy spider and all. :-) . I hope you're staying on after you've done the first 365.
