I took this shot earlier this year. Nearly all my photos are taken in Raw, I then convert them to DNG before editing and saving as Jpeg. the Raw image is then saved too.
I have a good few hundred photos from this the year waiting to be edited, hopefully before the end of the year. So with this in mind I thought I'd post a few shots from earlier this year for your comments.
Look at that face! Great action shot! Can you explain more about converting to DNG? I know what RAW is - and jpeg. Just got a camera that has RAW capability. What is DNG and why do you convert? (Only if and when you have time.) Thank you, Lee! :)
Super action shot!! Love the processing. It really brings out the detail! I have the same thing going on. So many raw files that need to be edited, and converted. Pretty soon I will run out of space! Great shot, Lee!
@juliedduncan Hi Julie. I prefer to Take RAW imaged to Jpg, the raw file type produced by my camera is CR2. The software I use doesn't recognise CR2, so I convert them to DNG, (DNG) is an open lossless raw image format by Adobe. Once I've edited the Image I them save it as a Jpg File.
Every photo I take that I think is worth keeping is saved as DNG (Lossless File) archived, and Jpg (edited).

This article about the subject of RAW v JPG is useful and informative. https://photographylife.com/dng-vs-raw. Thank you.
