These are the flowers from a plant known as Sweet Autumn Clematis. Unlike the bigger flowers of the hybrid clematis plants, this vine produces a cloud of small white flowers, with a wonderful perfume, in the early fall. I love opening the back door, on a September morning and noticing the scent from this vine. It mkaes me remember to enjoy those golden days because fall is at hand and winter not far behind. or, as the Starks would say, "Winter is coming".
