Pretty, delicate flowers, and they come back reliably each year, even in the face of benign neglect, but they have no scent...so disappointing for something called sweet pea!
@boatpainter I think it depends on the type. These are the perennial kind (Lathyrus latifolius, I think) whereas most of them that you get in the seed packets are annuals (Lathyrus odoratus). If you plant those then they are fairly hardy so you could probably get them to come back but you'll sacrifice the scent that you get with the annual ones.
