Another view of the tree peony. At the bottom, we have the new rosy shoots coming in, the leaves opening on the sides with the flower buds nestling in the centre of each cluster. At the top we have the brown seed head. In the fall, each little brown section should contain gloss black seeds. Just to the right of the picture centre we have what is left after the seed head breaks up leaving just the centre nub portion.
