North American Robin by gardencat

North American Robin

The robins are back, so spring has officially sprung. Our North American robins are much bigger than the ones in England which I often see posted here. They also seem to spend a lot of time on the ground, scouting around for worms, I'm not sure if the smaller English robins do the same. I think this one is attempting a punk look as his crown seems a bit puffier than usual.

Beautiful shot. We see them year round though not as many during the winter.

Great catch - he does look bigger and stronger - same lovely colour though.
