I do not know the type of flower this is? Thanks to @fr1da I found out this plant is called a Kangaroo Paw. Mystery solved and I like the name.

It looks like a Kangaroo Paw from Western Australia. In fact Im sure it is ! Wonderful colours.

Kangaroo Paw! A friend we visited in Australia is a landscape designer, so I learned a lot about plants while there. Best of all, I returned to California, and learned we had many of the same plants, but I'd never taken notice of them before! More typically I've seen these in a lighter orange color; this is a gorgeous shade! And look closely and you'll see "why the name"...see that little paw?
