Yesterday a child came out to wonder
Caught a dragonfly inside a jar
Fearful when the sky was full of thunder
And tearful at the falling of a star
And the seasons they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousal of time
We can't return we can only look behind
From where we came
And go round and round and round
In the circle game.

This wonderful carousal has 42 whimsical Cincinnati-centric characters that make up Carol Ann's Carousal. It is an amazing work of art featuring original artwork by Jonathan Queen, a local artist, with panels depicting animal characters playing in one of the numerous and beautiful Cincinnati parks. Additional panels celebrate the many Cincinnati historic landmarks. The carousal is housed inside a glass building so it can operate year round. It was built by Carousal Works in Mansfield, Ohio, the world's largest manufacturer of hand-carved wooden carousals.
My photo doesn't do it justice. This carousal is the prettiest and most detailed one I have ever seen! It cost 1 million dollars and the glass housing was 4.5 million dollars but only $2 for a ride.
I love our carousel. I wish we had time to ride it. Many wonderful photos of it though. And a great charm. ❤️ Thanks for posting your photos. A trip down memory lane. It’s fun to see what you’re picking. This is a beautiful, detailed pic!
