Ok, since the theme for this week is all about “curves” ill give you curves…. LOLS
Nway this photo was taken last 4 months ago, by “serj” , I just edited a little to give more artsy balance effect. Been doin yoga for 3 years now in irregular sessions…..
The upper figure is what you called Bakasana, or Crane pose > is a yoga posture in which the body supposedly resembles a crane standing in water. Bakasana is also known as Crow pose. This asana is very good to make the muscles of your arms, shoulders and chest very strong.
Your digestive system begins to function in a better manner, which means free from acidity and heart burn. Your heart and lungs have an extra spark due to this asana, as it makes better use of them with the need for proper diet too.
This asana can be claimed as one of the most important asanas for arms balance. It helps your upper back by stretching it and making it more flexible for better support. By continuous practice you can achieve that balance. It also helps to open the groins and tone the abdominal muscles.
Lower figure is what u called Padahastasana or the hands to foot pose, The term 'Pada' would mean 'foot' and 'Hasta' would mean 'Hand'. This asana is about standing on the hands. Hence its name.
Benefits of padahasasana :
The abdominal organs are toned with this asana. It facilitates digestion with increased digestive juices. It also provides good relief to people suffering from a bloating stomach and gastric problems.
I can enjoy watching you here, Jaydee, but will pass on taking this up at this stage in my life. It does make me wish it had been a popular activity when I was a lot younger...
Awesome body shapes! Great interpretation on the theme (even if it's an old set). You could recreate it though! There are so many interesting yoga poses!
This is so cool, Jaydee!! You seem to be in great shape!! I've tried doing some yoga and I really like it, but I have to be more persistent at it! I doubt I'll ever manage to do Bakasana, though! Awesome curves ;-))
