They just don't stay still do they and just when you have found them through the lens, they are gone. I was doing similar on Friday when I saw my first butterfly of the year. You got it well enough though. Lovely.
@bkbinthecity Thanks so much, Brian! Yes, I find it is usually worth it in the end! Even if I don't get a shot that I can use, it's always a great learning experience. :-)
@dyanstevens Thanks so much for your comment, Dyan! Same here with the neighbors . . . if I'm not on the ground chasing butterflies I'm trying to get friendly with the birds, squirrels, and deer. :-)
@jamibann Thanks so much, Issi! I was quite happy to catch him several times. Of course, that makes it more difficult to choose just one photo to post. :-)
@helenhall Thank you for your comment, Helen! Yes, it is so frustrating to get the image composed and in focus . . . and then the butterfly moves. Oh, well - all the more satisfying when we do get a shot that actually works, right? :-)
@merrelyn Thanks for your comment, Merrelyn! I have chased dragonflies also with absolutely no success. One day I'll get a shot . . . I'm determined. :-)
