Spider by gaylewood

Spider

I spotted this small spider on the side of the house today when I was mowing the lawn. I'm not sure what kind of spider it is. I was happy it was still long enough for me to get a couple of shots.
a great shot

Neat shot - nice detail. Just realized that I just deleted a mosquito shot (my one and only of anything that small) when I was clearing my card - forgot I had taken it just a bit ago and without my glasses thought it was just a door shot. Dumb! How often am I going to get a mosquito on a glass door. :)

I think it is a member of the wolf spider family. Very well camouflaged too. Neat shot.

It looks quite cute in a strange sort of way - but only because I know I haven't got to confront it for real. Great detail which stands out really well even with the great camouflage. fav.
