My Dying Orchid by gaylewood

My Dying Orchid

It's always a sheer pleasure to watch my orchid plants grow and bloom little by little . . . and so sad to start noticing the flowers looking fragile and falling off. Quite often I revive them but I think this one has reached a point of no return.

Here is a shot of this same orchid with beautiful blooms: http://365project.org/gaylewood/365/2016-04-20
I have to confess that I rather like their faded and jaded look. At least in the photographic sense. And I love your capture of these.

Until next time sweet orchid. Their color seems to be leaching out leaving only spots of lovely purple.

Sad, yes, but some flowers are really beautiful and interesting at this stage of their lives. I would include these in that category--such wonderful textures.
