Great focus on the central gull's eye. I wonder how it would be cropped to portrait, with only the two gulls on the left? I like the right hand gull but the front one draws my eye. :)
Excellent matching of title to shot. The two facing each other look like they are on the highway and the one with the reflection waiting to cross the road. The one in the foreground is taking a more leisurely walk along the pavement. How funny. These birds are so much more attractive than I give them credit for. Lovely shot Gayle.
@merrelyn Thanks so much for your comment, Merrelyn! Interesting that you should mention the front gull because I considered cropping him out and decided for this image I wanted to go with a group theme and I preferred four gulls, although I know three is sometimes the magic number. :-) I had several other images with only two gulls present but I kept going back to this one and liking the group feel to it so I went with it. Sometimes I have such a difficult time deciding which photo to post. Does that happen to you? Again, thank you for your comment. :-)
@helenhall Thank you so much for your comment and fav, Helen! Your take on this image is very similar to mine...each gull on a separate little journey, somewhat comical captured as one image. :-)
@gaylewood I sure do. I seem to either have a famine or feast when it comes to choosing shots to post. When I'm stuck, I usually rope my husband in for a second opinion. The problem is he often likes shots that I'm not keen on :)
