There are strong winds coming off the lake today and much colder temperatures have arrived. I have a nice fire going in the wood stove plus a mug of hot chocolate to keep me warm and cozy. I think I'll stay snuggled up inside for the rest of the day.
This is lovely. We had a bit of a wind storm blow through last night and a lot of rain. If I wasn't at work, I'd be curled up at home with some hot chocolate.
@ulrike Thanks so much for commenting! The weather has changed drastically here at Lake Winnipeg this week and the temperatures are dropping fast. About three more weeks and then it will definitely be time to head south to Texas and warmer weather.
@ulrike We live in San Antonio. :-) My husband is from Winnipeg and we spend June-October here at Lake Winnipeg at the family cottage. It's a summer cottage, not fully insulated, so we're really pushing the limits by staying until the end of October.
@gaylewood Funny, last time we were in Austin, we spent time in San Antonio because my daughter went to a tap dance conference/workshop at a dance studio in San Antonio. Her choreographer often takes a group of her students to this particular event and since we were already in Texas, we combined the events and explored San Antonio while she was dancing.
@ulrike How wonderful that you were able to combine the two events and spend some time in San Antonio. I hope you found our Alamo city interesting and fun! :-)
@milaniet Thanks so much for your comment, Milanie! Oh, yes! I'll be bringing out the long johns soon. It's predicted to get down close to freezing next week. Next Monday is Thanksgiving Day in Canada and it looks like it's going to be a cold and wet holiday here at the lake.
