A Life Well Lived

This is a photo I took last February when I visited Winnipeg in the winter. My mother-in-law, Pat, is on the left...97 years old and on the right is a very close family friend, Mary...99 years old.
Unfortunately, Mary passed away recently and we attended her memorial service yesterday. This past summer we began preparations for her 100th birthday party, which would have been in March. She was looking forward to receiving her special card from The Queen for her 100th birthday.
I am posting this personal photo in honor of Mary and a life well lived.

I know I said this at the time of your posting this image back in February, but what a wonderful image of a couple of fabulous looking ladies. I hope your MiL doesn't miss her friend TOO much. So sorry for her passing, and just before her 100th birthday. However, to get to 99 and look so good and well is a feat in itself.
