. . . or Katydid on Lantana or possibly a grasshopper or katydid nymph . . . I'm not exactly sure about the identification of this insect. I do know it is tiny . . . only 1 cm in length, I measured it. I think it has been nibbling away at this lantana flower.
@henrir Thanks, Henri! I have LOTS of lantana growing all around the yard...mostly because it's one of the few plants the deer won't eat around here. It seems every time a new lantana plant pops up, it's a different color combination. :-)
@gaylewood You are further south than we are so I'm sure it does very well. I have one plant that made it through the winder. I am very pleased with that. I love lantana.
