Great Orange Tip by gaylewood

Great Orange Tip

I visited the butterfly pavilion at the zoo today and came across a new butterfly for me . . . this beautiful Great Orange Tip. The undersides of their wings are mostly a mottled brown, tricking predators into thinking the creature is a fallen leaf.
I have posted a photo showing the underside of this Great Orange Tip in my Extras album . . . https://365project.org/gaylewood/extras/2017-05-17

Exquisite butterfly and beautiful image. An obvious favourite.
The British male Orange Tip is my "favrit fella" roll on April when he starts patrolling his territory.
