This was, at one time, a little house on the prairie.
If you look at the Earth without architecture, it's sometimes a little bit unpleasant. So there is this basic human need to do shelter in the broadest sense of the word, whether it's a movie theater or a simple log cabin in the mountains. This is the core of architecture: To provide a space for human beings. - Peter Zumthor
You can almost imagine what it might have looked like when it was originally constructed and the pride of those who built it. Nice capture- and great quote!
Kim this is an amazing capture. I can almost see a family working around the house. This is a FAV for me and should make it to the PP in my opinion. This old of a house to still be standing tells us alot about the craftsmanship that went into things back then. I love how you captured everything so perfectly.
