Dead or Alive?

I love Gerbera flowers. However how come some last longer than others. Some stand up straight, others flop down. Weird.

I think they seem to do better in a vase with other flowers so you can prop them up! They seem to need wires! Such lovely colours though so hard to resist!

If you trim the ends off of the droopy ones and lay them flat in a basin of water, they sometimes revive. It also works for roses :)

that is a strange thing about them. but i find their drooping quite dainty and pretty as well. great colours!

I'm sure that is why they are always on wire if you get them in a florist bunch .... :)
