I made this collage when I got home from my long day at the courts. I feel it symbolises the fight that will occur in the court room over the next few days! After spending the day there, I was not chosen for the jury. However I have to return on Wednesday and go through the process again!
@gigiflower I don't know what they were fighting over - one just attacked the one sitting in the grass! As for the jury service, it's to go through the same process to be chosen for another jury in the next case to come before the courts. My group can be called upon up until early June!
Nice collage Denise. I was called up once (our CEO believed that your civic responsibilities outweighed your corporate ones) and went through the selection process for a murder trial. When my name didn't come up, I didn't know if I was disappointed or relieved. I think it would have been a great learning experience.
As they used to say in the army when you went in for a hearing "March the guilty bastard in." LOL
Great action shots Denise. I was scheduled for jury duty on Fri. but they give you a number to call the night before to see if they need you. I was told not to show up and I had fulfilled my duty! Much easier than your situation!
Great action shots. I've never seen herons fighting before. I've never done jury service and not sure how I would feel. It would be a great experience I suppose, but it would depend on the actual case.
What a neat happening to witness - got some good action shots of it. It certainly made an interesting collage. Have served on one jury - just a two-day trial - and making those decisions was harder than I anticipated - so many of my own values tried to take over but I think I expressed myself honestly and we came up with a fair decision. We run 3 month sessions here, too - where you're libel to be called again.
Oh yay, Jury Duty!! I think the most they could do, after sitting all day on those hard chairs and benches, they could choose you!!! Then to have to go back and do it again really drives me crazy! I've never actually been chosen to sit on a jury yet, but have only been called twice in my lifetime!! I am sure it will be just like these herons with the arguing back and forth! Very nice collage to give that feel!!!
Interesting action shot, great catch! I got called into jury service twice so far. Once I was on a case. Lawyers going back and forth represents these birds well. But it wasn't like that for us jurors and we were able to come to a unanimous verdict. It wan't that bad it just took up time.
As they used to say in the army when you went in for a hearing "March the guilty bastard in." LOL
Great series of shots, Denise!
