This southern right whale was cruising along the coast line among the wonderful waves today. Sadly though, she is looking for her calf which has died and been attacked by sharks and is now washed up on the shore. Our first death here sadly.
Our Northern right whales have done so badly up here along the Bay of Fundy. Crab traps Great big ships/ 3 tangled up right at the beginning of summer. Very hard for Marine mammals to survive. Our Belugas around the Gulf of St. Lawrence some new born babies washed up dead. Heart breaking. Beautiful shot may be one day soon in the museum of memories. Do you remember when?
So sad to hear this. Nature could be very cruel at times. I like your shot. How nice to be able to take shots of whales from the comfort of solid ground!
