ANZAC hay bale soldiers by gilbertwood

ANZAC hay bale soldiers

I took a little detour on my way up to Echuca to find this "hay bale" art and certainly wasn't disappointed. They represent the 10 men from Mologa who did not return from WW1. Denise & Allan Leed created these, but sadly Allan was killed in an accident last year while these were being created. The wonderful Mologa community and family helped finish them in honour of Allan.
Amazing find and capture!

A fabulous piece of art and a wonderful tribute to the men who lost their lives. So sad that the artist never saw them finished.
