This photo is much more of a mood piece than reality. The whole thing was staged. The liquid in the shot glass is gatorade. The beers you will notice are unopened. The pack of cigs is actually the box from the cards. The ashtray is a small handmade pottery bowl. The cigarette itself is a straw. Ashes on the table and in the ashtray are pepper. Even the shadows and textures in the background are added in objects. It was fun to set up.
My wife has been listening to a zillion hours of audio recently as she is on a committee to chose the best audio books of the year. I have been feeling like a little bit of an audio book-widower. So when I needed a picture for the night the word "Solitaire" popped into my head. This is the result.
