This poor little guy was searching for pollen in all the wrong places: the flowers were already spent.
Speaking of spent, I had a bit of a mishap on the 16th ( the very day I upgraded to Ace so I could post more!) I've been dealing with a sprained shoulder, a wrenched neck, and my thumb is trashed, and is immobilized in a soft cast along with my sprained wrist. I hate to "whinge", but even though I am managing ok, the constant pain and limitataions are really wearing me down. Everything should heal up fine, though (but the thumb is questionable, and I'll know in about 3 weeks.) Sitting at the computer really aggravates everything, and just hasn't been bearable. It is getting better, but I won't be able to keep with all of you the way I'm used to.
Thanks to all of you for your comments on my "Monster Beetle", and my abstacts, etc. Damn! I was having such fun with abstracts, and have a bunch of them.
I miss you all SO VERY MUCH, and all of your pictures and stories that are a happy part of my day.
I HAVE taken some pictures recently, so all is not lost. I was going withdrawl not getting out there with my camera.
I'll be around......Les

I'm so sorry to hear about your accident Les. I hope you are feeling a lot better soon. Despite your current limitations this is an amazing photo! Take care and I look forward to seeing more of your photos soon. x
I've been missing you and your pics and was wondering where you disappeared to! So sorry about your accident and I'm glad you are on the mend. This is a beautiful photograph of a very determined fluffy yellow bee. I posted something similar a coulpe of days ago. Look after yourself xx
@shellbelle Greetings Michelle from Connecticut, USA! Thanks soooo much for checking in; it's always exciting to "see" a new face, especially from another country.
Speaking of new, I took a quick look through your "363" and was really excited by what I saw. The thing that stood out most was the COLOR!; lots of it, and beautifully done. Looking forward to future postings. Be well, Les
