Woodland Abstract by glimpses

Woodland Abstract

This is one of those shots that is deceivingly simple. It's natural beauty caught my eye, and my task became one of finding the most aesthetic way to photograph it. This an SOOC in macro of sunlit Birch bark.
Very interesting photo Les. When you look at the photo in small view it kind of looks like an old map. Have a good day.

@brumbe Thank you Paula; a fine compliment coming from you means a lot, since I thought that your abstracts were super-fantastic.
To be honest with you, I have no idea what an abstract photograph is actually all about, truly. I just used my own interpretation, and took it from there. But "basic elements" makes sense. Perhaps I can read up on the a bit in an effort to improve them; I plan on continuing with them. Have a great day, Les

@maggie2 Thank you Maggie; I love simle shots also. However, I have found that they are NOT so simple to get. But that's one of the things that keps me going - the inherent challenge of photography. Thanks also for the heads up on the Tiger shot; Ivisited it right away; you'll see. :-) Take care, Les

@shellbelle Thanks a lot Michell; I love shots like this too. That's why I take them. And they are a great challenge because they LOOK like a simple shot, but they are anything BUT simple to get. That makes it sweeter when I get a nice one. Take care, Les
