Well, here I am, in my livingroom, in a totally unplanned selfie. I just finished some baking, saw the sunlight in the window, and grabbed my camera. I didn't give a "fiddler's fart" what I looked like; if I did, I would have become self-conscious and chickened out. I'm just in my "duds" and my favorite scarf which keeps me warm. Smiling: easier than I thought; I felt so silly and ridiculous on the OTHER side of the lens. Actually, it was pretty fun, and I'll definitely do more.
(Note: Apologies to those of you who might have seen this before; I posted it in the wrong month and took it down.)
(Note: Gave it a crop and blurred the background.)
Greetings! I'm from Connecticut (USA) Photography is one of my lifelong passions (others including gardening, woodworking, history, and being a part...
@brumbe The funny part is being on the other side of the lens and feeling like the "village idiot." LOL I couldn't stop myself from laughing!
Take care now, Les x
@shellbelle Lots of thanks Michelle. It is large part because of YOUR selfies that I screwed up the courage to do this one. :-) More to come!
Happy weekend, Les
@ulpiphotos Thanks so much Ulpi....I emailed this to my mom, (we haven't seen each other in 5 years) and she LOVED it. It made her really happy; she couldn't say enough about my smile. :-) Happy weekend, Les x
@hudd Much appreciated Hudd; the lighting was just awesome, and it only shines through that window for 15-20 minutes this time of year. How could I resist. :-) Happy weekend, Les
@lbmcshutter Thanks so much Megan.......emailed this to my mom, (it's been 5 years since she's seen me) and seeing that smile just warmed her heart. She wants to print it out and frame it. :-) Wait 'til you see the next one..........took it yesterday. Big LOL! Happy weekend, Les x
