On an unusually cold morning, I saw this little guy warming himself on the sunny side of a tree. He's 2 stories high; a cinch for him to climb, but not so for me. :-)) Just kidding; actually , I zoomed all the in from my front porch, which is on the second floor. And it is my great good fortune to have a large and lovely Sentry Maple out in front, some of his huge limbs spreading high over the house. The Tree is abundent with life all the year round.

He is very cute and certainly very happy capturing the sun. I have to agree with him that there is nothing nicer than feeling the warmth of the sun on a cold day.
@nicolecampbell Hi Nic, He really is a sweet little guy; and I see him often in "My Old Friend" (the tree.) I don't know why, but he always alone, and not accepted by any of the resisident families. I feel sad for him, always by himself, but he seems to manage just fine. Hope you are having a lovely weekend, Les x

@lbmcshutter He's a sweet little chap, but unfortunately, always by himself. i don't know why, but he is not accepted by any of the many Squirrel families we have. (Gray Squirrels are VERY territorial.) So I feel good when I see him in what hopefully is peace. All my best, Les x
@anoeska He is a sweet little guy; it's a shame that a lof of people call them "tree rats." Also, in hard times only a generation ago, people used to shoot them for food! Thanks for stopping, Les x
@tobi Hi Santina, and thanks for taking the time to stop and comment. It's always a pleasure to hear from someone new! He is a mature Gray Squirrel born at the end of last summer.
