Tried something for the first time: Here's a macro (SOOC) of a Purple Coneflower taken at night. I lit it with a very small, rather strong, handheld LED light. No tripod, and set everything manually; just tipped and angled the camera and light where I wanted them. I like how it turned out, but have other ideas to refine future attempts.

Wonderful Les! It is always fun to try new things and this has worked out so well. I planted a lot of these flowers in my garden towards the end of the season and I have my fingers crossed they will come to life again in the Spring.
@nicolecampbell Many thanks Nic. My "girls" are insanely happy this year. They are lush green, and healthy, blooming profusely, and, get this - over 5 feet tall! I've been caring for them since March when they first appeared. No worries; I'm sure yours will return. :D Take good care, Les x
@girlie Thanks a million for the fav Robin. Went out again last night and got some real beauties (also about 81 mosquito bites LOL) Can't decide which ones to use, so, i thought i would "take a page out of your book" and make a collage. Happy weekend, Les x
@melaniesavage Much appreciated Melanie.....technical doesn't BEGIN to describe it; tons of trial and lots of error. LOL! I suppose I could have gone online and found a tutorial that would have paved the way, but where's the fun in that?? Have a swell weekend, Les x
